All because two people fell in love...

10 months!

Today my sweet little baby is ten months old! How did the time go by so fast? It seems like this month he is doing so many new things...

He's on the move and is into EVERYTHING! He doesn't crawl regularly, its more of an army crawl. He still gets around so fast though. Recently we baby-proofed a little. I thought I had awhile to look for a baby gate, but I guess not. He found the kitchen and he won't stay out of it!

He likes to get into the dog food (he even tried a piece and got mad when I took it away) and he likes to see his reflection in the stove and dishwasher.

He loves to chase Mylo and gets upset when Mylo jumps onto the top of the couch where he can't reach him. Isn't this face priceless?!

He loves getting into Mylo's toys!

His grandma got him this walker. Sometimes he sits back and has some snacks and other times he uses it to chase Mylo. Suprise, suprise! I'm anticipating the day that Mylo is no longer faster than him. :)

He helps w/ laundry! Okay, not really, he just likes the ride in the baskets afterward.

The camera comes out and he turns into such a little ham! I told Joey to get one of him smiling and he just kept doing weird faces. He's so funny and has such a big personality already.

He takes a "big boy" bath now w/o the plastic tub. He loves all this toys, but his favorite is the fisherman guy that sits on top of his sailboat. :)

He waves "hi" and "bye" to everyone! Its pretty cute. He say's "da da" and "momma" to the right person now. He's also say "dat" and pointing to everything. He says "ba ba" and definetly knows what that one means. He shakes his head "yes" or "no" to things and it seems like he knows which is which. "Are you hungry?" He shakes his head "yes". "Are you ready for bed? "He shakes his head "no". lol

Ten months has gone by really fast and its bittersweet to see all the changes. Its so fun watching him grow and learn knew things, but its sad how fast its all happened. I couldn't imagine my life w/o this little guy. We love him so much and he brings us all the happiness in the world!

Just one last picture....

I just had to post this one!
A couple weeks ago, he was on antibiotics for an ear infection. It gave him diarrhea and made him get a diaper rash. Well I was letting him "air out" while I put a few things away and all of a sudden I hear a tiny little fart. I look down and yep, he had pooped on the floor! hahaha

I'm starting to feel like this is just an online journal since I still don't know how to find people! Oh well- its really just for me to remember things anyway...

Friday, Joey and I went to Las Vegas with our best friends, Tim and Amanda. Grant stayed home and spent time with both sets of grandparents. (He's sooo lucky to have family on both sides that love him so much!) When we got there, we ate at the hotel. They had the best nachos ever! Davi Milsaps was there too. :) After that, we walked around town for a bit and talked Joey into riding the roller coaster at New York New York. He was freaking out and I wish I wouldn't have left my camera in the car! We spent a little time at the pool... I don't regret not having my camera then. haha. We had a dinner to go to that night. Yay for free food! lol
We spent the rest of the night walking around town and checking out our hotel and some other ones near by. We stayed at the Hard Rock and it was pretty fun. Amanda saw Pink and Carey Hart. She made eye contact with her before even realizing it was her. She didn't want to be seen as she had a hood on and was kind of hiding her face. Too bad for her that her husband completely stood out. Saturday we spent the day in the pits at the Supercross. We saw some different riders and we just had fun walking around.

Joey didn't believe that I had spotted Malcom Stewart (Bubba's brother) so he made me ask for a picture to prove him wrong. He totally looks different on tv! Joey was stoked about the picture with Jake Weimer... of course we were so proud of him since he's from Idaho and Joey raced against him growing up.

This was our view of the track! pretty nice :)

After the race, we went back to the hotel.
Bubba Stewart! I'm pretty embarrassed that I interrupted him while he was gambling to get this picture.

The guys with Pourcel! We also saw lots of other ones, but didn't ask for pictures. Joey is jealous that Tim got one with Kevin Windam.

Sunday we went to the Shark's Reef Aquarium in Mandalay Bay and it was pretty cool. Not quite as good as I remember, but still good.

That evening, we met my aunt and uncle and there adorable boys at a really yummy Mexican restaurant. They live in Vegas and we don't get to see them as often as we'd like. There three boys are sooo well behaved and such cuties! Once again, I forgot the camera. We went to Fremont Street to see "Old Las Vegas" and watched the light show. It wasn't as exciting as everyone made it out to be. Later we went to a banquet thing and saw a bunch more riders which made the guys super happy.

We left Monday and I was so excited to come home to my litte man. Sunday night, he had started running a fever, had diarrhea, and was throwing up. Poor guy was sick all day Monday too. We took him to the doctor when we got home and found out he has an ear infection. He's still miserable. I hope the antibiotics start helping soon! I'm exhausted!!!

Considering I'm new at this and still trying to figure it out, I haven't been blogging. I'm kind of upset w/ myself for not doing it anyway cuz I've wanted to do this before I had Grant so I could print these off. Well... he's nine months old now. I know, crazy! Where did the time go? He's trying to crawl, but mostly rolls and scoots everywhere. He's saying "mama" and "dada" at the right person now and has started to wave "hi" and "bye". We went to his nine month appt yesterday and he was somewhere in the seventyth percentile for height and weight. He weighed in at 22 lbs! I totally thought he'd be like 26 and the nurse reweighed him a couple times cuz she thought so too. I guess he's just solid! I love that little (or I guess big) boy sooo much!
I too saw the doc yesterday cuz I've been feeling shaky, anxious, and grumpy when I'm hungry. I've also been dying of thirst and peeing like crazy. The doctor sent me with a blood glucose monitor and told me to take it before and after I eat. Is it weird that I like pricking myself and doing it? I must be made to be a nurse. lol She did some other blood tests for diabetes and to check my thyroid. Hopefully nothing serious is wrong and its just low blood sugar.
Joey finished school a couple weeks and is now just a test away from having his journeymen's license. I'm so proud of him! I'm loving him not having class in the evenings and getting to always spend them with us. :)
I have finals next week which isn't too bad cuz I'm only taking one class. I'm so happy to have a month off school before I have to go back for summer classes. I'll be taking 10 credits in the summer but luckily two are online and only math is live. There's no way I'd ever take Math online... its hard enough with someone else explaining it to me over and over.
Next weekend we are going to Vegas and I can't wait! We are going for Supercross, considering we will be there 3 nights, we will do alot more than that! I'm so excited to have a get-away w/ my hubby and our best friends. It'll be a blast! I'm soooo sad that I'm gonna be gone for my first mother's day and Grant won't be with us. :( I didn't know that when we planned it. Oh well, its not like he knows anyway.
Now... the goal is to keep up with blogging! :)

First blog..

Well considering this is my first blog, I will tell you a little about us. Joey and I have been married 1 year, in May, and together 5. We were blessed our son on July 23, 2009. He has been the light of our lives and makes us so happy everyday. He just turned seven months and is sitting up, scooting, and rolling. He has such a great little personality and always wears a smile (even when he's grumpy or doesn't feel good). Joey is such a hard working dad and husband. We are so lucky to have him! He will have his journeymen license in HVAC this April. I get to stay home with Grant and go to school part-time. I'm finishing up my prerequisites and am planning on applying for the nursing program next Spring.
